Campaign speech - Reduce waste and recycle your plastic

Today we'll present you the important but also horrible material PLASTIC. We'll tell you why we can't live without plastic in our daily life, how this important material slowly destroys our environment and why also plants and animals die because of it.

 
             

Look around! Can you find plastic?
As you can see, plastic is everywhere in our classroom, the most of your drudges are made of plastic, your lunch boxes are made of plastic, the chairs are made of plastic, many many things are made of plastic! So can you imagine a world without this cheap but also kind of precious material? The result would be a world without cheap and light pens, without a good wrapper around your food, no plastic dishes, nothing! You would have to make all products with glass, metal or cloth, it would be very comlicated and impractical.
But plastic also has his evil aspects for example it's made with oil which takes 300 years to form and only a tiny percent of it gets recycled if we throw it away. Plastic is dumped everywhere and it's ruining the environment because it needs 400 - 1000 years to degrade. Plastic makes up most percentage of the litter in the oceans and it's effect on marine wildlife it's yet alarming.




                      


Plastic absorbs chemicals and the contaminated plastic can be fatal to marine animals eating it and can kill us, since we make up the end of this food chain, so plastic has an impact on our world's environment, wildlife and our health. So I think everyone should use as less plastic, which need to be thrown away after using it, as he can. You can use plastic bottles more than one time, you only have to wash it and fill it with a new drink.
